Lorraine is a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother living in Holyoke. She was born in Jersey City, NJ and at 9 years old, moved to Puerto Rico with her parents. Between the ages of 18 and 24, she spent time in Germany with her then-husband, who served in the military at the time.
At the age of 35, she came to Holyoke with her children in order to escape an abusive relationship. Lorraine has struggled with addiction in the past, but is now in recovery, and finds that her faith and her family are the most important things to keep her recovery on track.
She now works with Hope for Holyoke, a recovery support center, helping other people struggling with addiction.
